Is the DashX desktop application safe to use?

Yes. DashX is completely safe. The application only interacts with the windows and controls you explicitly configure in your workspace. It cannot access or modify data outside your defined automation flow.

Why does Windows show an Unknown Publisher warning?

DashX is not yet digitally signed with an EV code signing certificate. This is a standard step for new software. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first run. Click More info then Run anyway to proceed. We are working on obtaining a code signing certificate.

Do I need a server or cloud account to use DashX?

No. DashX is a desktop application that runs entirely on your Windows PC. There are no servers to maintain and no cloud dependencies for core automation functionality.

Does DashX work with Tally, Marg, or other accounting software?

Yes. DashX works with virtually any Windows application including Tally, Marg ERP, SAP, Excel, and custom business software. The AI engine can interact with any standard Windows control including text boxes, buttons, dropdowns, and menus.

How does DashX handle data entry automation?

DashX uses AI to extract structured data from documents like PDFs, images, and scanned files, then auto-types that data into target applications using Windows UI automation. You configure the extraction template and target fields once, and DashX handles the rest.

You need both downloads. The app runs your automations — it's a portable .exe, there is nothing to install, just download and run. The Chrome extension has to be loaded into Chrome so the app can click inside your web pages. Nothing else to install.

Click the “Download Chrome Extension” button above, then unzip the file into a folder on your PC (for example C:\DashX-Chrome-Extension). Keep this folder — the extension needs it.

Turn ON Developer mode

Enable the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner of the page.

Click “Load unpacked”

Select the extracted folder

Navigate to and select the DashX-Chrome-Extension folder you extracted in Step 1.
